Greetings from Royal Roads University (RRU)!
We are delighted to share information about our 2025 Summer Leadership Academy and the special Partner Discount available exclusively for our UMAP partner universities.
In addition, we are thrilled to announce that scholarships will be available for the 2025 Summer Leadership Academy. Detailed information will be posted on the UMAP website in April 2025. For reference, the scholarship amount offered last year was $3,500 CAD.
Summer Leadership Academy
Program Dates and Tuition Fees:
2-Week Program
Tuition: $975 CAD after partner discount ($1,300 CAD)
July 28 – August 8 (Theme: Global Leadership)
August 11 – August 22 (Theme: Community Impact and Environmental Leadership)
4-Week Program
Tuition: $1,875 CAD after partner discount ($2,500 CAD)
July 28 – August 22 (Combination of the above two themes)
Note: Students who receive a scholarship for the program will not be eligible for the partner discount.

25 hours/week
Program Highlights:
Enhance English language skills
Develop cross-cultural communication competencies
Strengthen global leadership abilities
Program Format:
Morning sessions consist of classroom instruction on RRU’s beautiful campus. Afternoon sessions include workshops and experiential activities, fostering leadership skills through discussions and projects in a multicultural environment. This program is delivered by RRU’s Global Learning and Language Centre.
Accommodation:
Participants can choose between homestay or on-campus student housing.
